Honestly, I kind of skimmed sections of the past two books, like during the fight scenes, but for this one I was glued - and I mean
GLUED - to every sentence. The first two books also have built up a loveable cast of crazy characters that I'm totally rooting for. And usually I wouldn't rate this type of "fluffier" book with 5 stars, but screw it, it had me cracking up, holding my breath, feeling sucker punched, and just hooked with every word. Kate is totally kick-ass in all the ways that I admire, and I love her dynamics with all the different characters (especially with Curran, that smexy bastard). Seriously, no complaints.
Plus, can I say how excited I was to see an
Indonesian character in mainstream fiction? Though I found it funny that she was the Hindu expert when Indonesia is known for having one of the highest Muslim populations in the world.
