Mandafofanda Reads Lots

The world isn't just the way it is. It is how we understand it, no?

And in understanding something, we bring something to it, no?
Doesn't that make life a story?

- Yann Martel, Life of Pi

Opal - Jennifer L. Armentrout You know why I liked the first two books in this series so much? The banter! If any couple could make me laugh with their verbal zingers and love/hate-ness, it was Katy and Daemon. Look, I know it's okay to be happy and honeymoon-stage-y now that you guys are REALLY together. But... I still want entertainment! Where's my swaggary snarky Daemon? Where's my take-no-crap Katy? Sigh...

In this installment, Daemon is edging towards alpha-male over-protector mode who won't let Katy do anything, and Katy is... accepting it. Ugh. Also, the Dawson storyline never really got interesting for me, and unlike [b:Onyx|13047090|Onyx (Lux, #2)|Jennifer L. Maybe the next one will be better?
