Mandafofanda Reads Lots

The world isn't just the way it is. It is how we understand it, no?

And in understanding something, we bring something to it, no?
Doesn't that make life a story?

- Yann Martel, Life of Pi

Moon Called - Patricia Briggs Bored. That's what I was for about 90% of this book. I'm pretty surprised that I actually took the time to finish it. I'm pretty disappointed because I saw reviews liking it to the Kate Daniels series (which is awesome) but this book fell seriously flat in comparison. I just never really grew to care about any of the characters, the narration felt kind of awkward and tedious as Mercy describes her reasoning behind everything(I thought that Magic Bites was confusing because Kate barely explains anything, but it makes the pacing so much faster!), the dialogue never got particularly entertaining, and the plot/mystery in this book was just... meh. I think I just kept reading because I wanted it to get better. Damn.
