The Thief - Megan Whalen Turner I had the misfortune of reading this book after [b:The Lies of Locke Lamora|127455|The Lies of Locke Lamora (Gentleman Bastard, #1)|Scott Lynch|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1320532483s/127455.jpg|2116675] (which is AWESOME) and so I kept comparing the brilliantly crafty yet ignorant young Locke to the conniving yet bratty Gen. While I grew to love and totally root for Locke, I kept getting annoyed at Gen's snottiness towards everyone and everything. They just don't compare.
