Mandafofanda Reads Lots

The world isn't just the way it is. It is how we understand it, no?

And in understanding something, we bring something to it, no?
Doesn't that make life a story?

- Yann Martel, Life of Pi

That Boy - Jillian Dodd The story is cute, and you want to be the main character - I mean, who doesn't want to be best friends with two hot guys? But I felt that JJ could do a lot of growing up. By the end, she's in her early twenties, and STILL talks like she's 13! At one point, when a guy asks her what she's majoring in, and she says "engineering," I'm like haha yeah right! Honestly, though it's reasonable for JJ to be super naive in the beginning of the book, I hoped that she would show more growth by the end - or at least have a more mature voice that still wouldn't annoy me.
