Everything about this book trilogy is solid. Fantastic worldbuilding? Yes. Flawed and ambiguous characters that you still root for? Yes. Interesting mystery that keeps you hooked? Yes. Funny dialogue with witty one-liners? Yes. However, it was missing that EXTRA SOMETHING, the range of emotional highs and lows that make a great book. So while I did LIKE this trilogy, I didn't LOVE it. But it's still a good series.
And one of my favourite parts? Cassel finding Daneca's picture in Barron's wallet and the discovery that might have actually liked her. Cassel, I hate you for ripping that up.
