Mandafofanda Reads Lots

The world isn't just the way it is. It is how we understand it, no?

And in understanding something, we bring something to it, no?
Doesn't that make life a story?

- Yann Martel, Life of Pi

The Sea of Tranquility: A Novel

The Sea of Tranquility - Katja Millay In most his-her POV books, chapters will show a scene from one person's perspective, then switch immediately to show how the other person was feeling in that exact same moment. This book didn't, and that was one of the surprising highlights of this book. It's like Millay took certain scenes, decided which viewpoint would be the most effective, then wrote from their view.

I read this again for the second time, and while it didn't completely blow me away like during my first read, I still found it to be a really beautiful story with a cast of likeable and sympathetic characters just trying to figure out their healing processes from various wounds.
